Don't miss this! - Christy Fincher - August 14, 2018

Straight from Wikipedia: “The dog days or dog days of summer are the hot, sultry days of summer. They were historically the period following the heliacal rising of the star Sirius, which Greek and Roman astrology connected with heat, drought, sudden thunderstorms, lethargy, fever, mad dogs, and bad luck. They are now taken to be the hottest, most uncomfortable part of summer in the Northern Hemisphere.”

Without doing any research on the heliacal rising of the star Sirius, I totally agree, except for mad dogs. Too bad there aren’t vaccinations for the rest of it!

Forget about the woes of summer and jog your creativity on Tuesday as we welcome Cristy Fincher of Purple Daisies Quilting! She will be presenting her Lecture/Trunk Show to Cactus Patchers on Tuesday, August 14, at 6:30pm. She may include a lesson on a technique and/or bring some products.

You can visit her web site at https://purpledaisiesquilting.com

Cristy’s presentation will be approximately an hour, which will leave us plenty of time for Show-n-Tell and socializing!

We will have a raffle basket, so bring a few dollars!
