Pyle Center, Tempe Library Complex, 655 E. Southern Ave.
6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (doors open 6 p.m.)
Business meeting and Show & Tell followed by:
Learn about and work on this year's community service project, quillows for Banner Desert Cancer Center chemotherapy patients. Quillows are quilts with a built-in pocket -- the quilt folds up into the pocket to form a pillow. Add handles and it's easily carried. Our target size is 48x60.
Bring your sewing machine and cutting tools, or just enthusiasm and conversation. The Cactus Patchers fabric bins will be available to provide material for your quillow, and the chapter is also providing batting for these projects.
The end of summer is finally on the horizon and our regular 2nd and 4th Tuesday meetings will return next month, September 8 and 22.
